Our Story
Michael learned the craft from the ground up — trained in a real workshop by time-served upholsterers. Eighteen years later, that hands-on start is the reason Herd Upholstery exists. He strips every piece back to the frame. Checks the joints, the springs, the webbing. Replaces the foam with fire-safe materials that meet current UK regulations. Then recovers it in whatever fabric or leather the customer chooses. The piece that comes back is structurally sound and looks better than when it was first bought.
